A grest storyI
I actually read this book in Chinese and I understand it has also been printed in India. Not only was it very informative about human evolution and fossils, but the characters were so interesting. It read like a saga and the story of the Leakeys was told in a fascinating way. I highly recommend it.

Letters, Lies & Alibis (Delta Justice)
Published in Paperback by Harlequin (October, 1997)
Author: Sandy Steen
Average review score:

Very Well-Written
This book was very interesting, right from the beginning. Ms. Steen instills strong family value in both the hero and heroine. The story has a classic plot, where Travis Hardin (hero) is out to find the truth about his long-dead relative (Camille Gravier) and has made a promise to his grandmother to avenge her death. Upon arriving in Bayou Beltane, a private investigator in tow, no doubt, Travis meets confident, opinionated Shelby Delacroix (heroine). As expected, they don't know that their lives are strangely linked until Shelby hands Travis her business card and he realizes that he's been digging up dirt on her beloved family. Sparks fly, secrets are uncovered, and a scandalous secondary dilhemma adds to the fun. Vibrant, believable characters add to the charm of the South. This is a very good read.

Merchant prince of the Niger delta: the rise & fall of Nana Olomu, last governor of the Benin River
Published in Unknown Binding by Heinemann Educational ()
Author: Obaro Ikime
Average review score:

Hard and very Political, my cup of tea!!
If you love political and political history, keep reading.

"This book is Poetry in political dialogue".

This book for it is political minded, to those which can relate to hidden international political issues, with an open mindedness. Professor Ikime wrote history which is not wanted to be known by Britain.

The book is concerning itself with two local areas known as Countries. From Benin and Nigeria, and it's governing system of people living within the area of Niger Delta. The inner trials and tribulations of the events and issues of Merchant TRADERS, the corruption's, as well as slavery, and the domination of the British exploitation through manipulation to deceive and destroy to control it. All while secretly destroying a perfectly running system which was culturally sound and prospering but exploited as non-Christian like business operations.

One man realizes that the British were wrong, now has to fight against there exploitations. Eventually, all is turned upside down and inside out and the best of the worse happens......

"The Merchant Prince of the Niger Delta" hit all the basis with facts and details. My utmost repect for Professor Ikime work.

If you love hard core political work, there is another similar book called "The Peasants Interview" which goes into a general world view look into all of the aspects of political issues of Africanism.

Mississippi Delta Women in Prism

Author: Claire T. Feild

A Must Have for Collectors of Southern Writers
I have a collection of books written by Southern writers. Although this is a poetry book, it provides rich pictures of people from the past. From the poetry, one is able to gain a historical perspective of life in the 1950s and 1960s. Mrs. Feild has a talent for creating characters that we all know; ones we love and hate. Through the use of words, Mrs. Feild creates vivid images that often have a sharp twist. I think that all who purchase this book will enjoying reading about these interesting Southern people.

Precious Bane (Heinemann Guided Readers)
Published in Paperback by Delta Systems Co (January, 1995)
Authors: John Milne and Delta Systems Co Inc
Average review score:

Marvelous book
Precious Bane is an incredibly rich, lovely story, told in a manner that seems almost faerie-like, though incisively real in its depiction of human nature. It's about a young woman born with a hare-lip in 19th-century rural England, and how she comes to win (and be won by) the fine young man who is the desire of her heart.

It's a great book for teens because, among other elements in its complex theme, it is concerned with true feminine beauty, which is resides in purity and virtue.

The story is moving, and lingers long after the book is through. Definitely one you'll keep in your mind's collection.

Rescue My Child: The Story of the Ex-Delta Commandos Who Bring Home Children Abducted Overseas
Published in Hardcover by Simon & Schuster (October, 1992)
Author: Neil C. Livingstone
Average review score:

Five stars for the sheer audacity of the Feeneys!!
I was sucked in by this book, just like so many other parents of missing children. The Feeneys are among the biggest liars and con-artists I have ever met in my life. In the search for my missing daughter, they provided me with a receipt for services in the amount of $500. We never saw another receipt, nor any of the agreed upon information they were to find out for me, nor the other $4,500 advance again. No one should help them profit from their crimes by buying any books that they receive royalties on. I hate to think that the author was taken in too. Another victim of the Feeneys
